Building Healthy Communities South Los Angeles
Working with The California Endowment on their Building Healthy Communities South Los Angeles (BHC SLA) program to build narrative change efforts, we helped facilitate, develop, and design the communications messaging and creative with 40 community partners in the South Los Angeles region.
STRATEGY
This engagement specifically represented 25 years of community change after the 1992 uprising. Our attention included facilitating community partners' focus groups, participating in all partners' meetings, developing and securing media opportunities for various partners, creating messaging, and designing all collateral, including branding campaigns, flyers, invites, and posters. Team Friday also developed a website and continued to develop narrative change messaging strategies for all digital engagement. The work with BHC SLA was focused on earned media in tandem with diverse outreach methods to message to community members and community-based organizations.
In May of 2020, Team Friday returned to support the South Central Rooted Report's outreach efforts. Together with Community Health Councils and Special Services for Groups (SSG), Team Friday supported outreach for webinars and social media and website redesign, blog development, and podcast distribution.
