Building on Our Years of Impact, Culture, and Community
2025 has had a challenging start. It’s felt like the longest January between fires and executive orders. Yet, amidst it all, the world witnessed the most authentic human experience – community care. Los Angeles, our hometown, proves that people will find a way when systems fail. In support of small businesses, we launched a Small Business Insurance Deductible Disaster Relief Fund alongside some friends, to which we invite you to contribute and spread the word - learn more here.
Team Friday also stepped into a new look and website. We continue to build off the momentum of 2024 — a year filled with meaningful partnerships and impactful campaigns that championed housing support, healthier lives, consumer rights, and more entrepreneurial opportunities.
Building Entrepreneurial Economic Empowerment
Working with LA County's Department of Economic Opportunity and the Los Angeles Region Small Business Summits, we crafted a campaign and communication strategy that launched the Economic Mobility Initiative. This initiative connects local entrepreneurs in underserved communities to resources and capital, building sustainable enterprises and economic resilience.
Supporting Legacy Businesses
Partnering with the LA City Economic and Workforce Development Department, we launched their Legacy Business Program. A first of its kind for the City of Los Angeles, the program brought much-needed recognition and access to resources for businesses established for 20 or more years and impacted by the pandemic.
Housing Security Support
In partnership with Lendistry, we informed tenants and landlords of vital rental assistance programs for their properties. Our targeted outreach strategy helped connect vulnerable households with the resources to maintain stable housing during challenging times.
Consumer Rights Healthcare Advocacy
Our work with the Department of Managed Health Care focused on educating Californians about their health care rights and available resources, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health coverage and care options.
Defining Public Health For All
This year saw us tackling multiple crucial public health challenges alongside LA County's Department of Public Health:
Gun Violence Prevention
Our targeted communications strategies addressed gun violence as a public health crisis, focusing on prevention, education, and community-based solutions.
Black Maternal Health
Addressing the critical disparities in maternal health outcomes, we raised awareness, connected expectant mothers with resources, and promoted culturally competent care.
Vaccine Awareness
Building on lessons from previous public health campaigns, our vaccine awareness initiatives for mPox and COVID focused on maintaining community protection through updated immunization information and resource access.

Looking Ahead
Our commitment to serving our clients and partners with actionable marketing and communication strategies has never been stronger, and we are excited to continue this impact into 2025.
As cross-cultural communication leaders, we are leaning in. Leaning into our curiosity about people. Leaning into the growing diversity that Generation Alpha and Generation Beta have brought. Leaning into conversations about being more ethical in media and AI. Leaning into gender equity and inclusion. Leaning into more representation and cultivating belonging. Most importantly, we are leaning into representing authentic stories that connect us to humanity.
And we are leaning in because we have to. Our research continues to show us that the world is more culturally fluent, more diverse, and more interested in moving away from silos. The global conversations are not going back, and neither should we.
Let’s keep pushing our cultures forward together.
